Materials & Construction
OMNI's Pump Enclosures are constructed from dense engineered board sealed with a wipe-clean plastic laminate exterior. Sonex® Sound Suppression foam paneling lines the interior to reduce pump noise.
Pump Noise Reduction
Depending on pump frequency, our enclosures reduce the decibel level between 16-19dB.

Pump Enclosure Features
OMNI's vacuum pump enclosures are designed to support and provide cooling for the vacuum pumps that are used to create the low-pressure environment necessary for mass spectrometry while shielding users from the noise and heat that they create.
Many labs are still in violation of OSHA’s daily permissible noise level exposure guidelines. However, OMNI has developed a number of design features that work together to create an integrated pump enclosure that provides a significant decrease in the noise associated with pump operation. Our enclosures are designed to accommodate pumps from Agilent, Sogevac, Edwards, Ebara, Varian and Pfeiffer Vacuum as well as others.
OMNI’s pump enclosures include both intake and exhaust fans to dissipate pump heat. An optional hose collet can also be added to channel pollutant air to a central exhaust system. We have developed a number of design features that work together to create a significant decrease in the noise associated with pump operations, utilizing SONEX® paneling for sound attenuation.
